Innovative Sports Law Firm set up in London

By Prof Dr Ian Blackshaw An innovative Law Firm, known as VII Law, has been set up at 2 Dr Johnson's Bulidings, in The Temple, in the heart of Legal London, UK. VII Law offers a wide range of Barrister-led legal services, including ones specially tailored to meet the legal needs of the international sporting community in general and the football world in particular; and is also the first Legal Servcies Firm to be authorised by the English Bar Standards Board as an 'alternative business structure'. Apart from its Barrister members, with a varied legal background and expertise, VII Law also includes in its team some experienced English FA Authorised Football Intermediaries and a leading International Sports Agent. Because of its unique compostion, VII Law is able to provide a complete legal service from initial advice, the drafting of contracts and the completion of regulatory and other formalities through to professional representation before national and international sports governing bodies and arbitral tribunals, as well as the courts themselves. For further information about this ground-breaking development, please see the feature article by Catherine Baksi, entitled, 'Barristers and agents hope to kick off new era for sports law', published in 'The Times' newspaper on 7 July, 2017, and also e-mail the head of legal services at VII Law, Rossano Cifonelli, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
