The annual 12-hour ‘Le Mow’ lawn mower race has taken place in Wisborough Green, a village in West Sussex in the south of England.
The event is regarded as the most affordable way of taking part in competitive motorsport.
Teams race through the night, from 1900 BST to 0700 BST, on mowers and the team that completes the most laps around the track is the winner of the event, which was first held in 1973.
The teams comprise three drivers, who share the driving throughout the 12 hours.
The competitors stop every 45 minutes and pull into the pit lane to refuel, fix any damage to their mowers or to themselves.
Just finishing the race is considered, as in the real Le Mans race, to be a great achievement.
Thousands of people watched this year’s race, which was won by ‘Bullseye Racing’.
