COVID-19 THE COURT OF ARBITRATION FOR SPORT (CAS) EMERGENCY GUIDELINES VALID FROM 16 MARCH 2020
Lausanne, 16 March 2020 - Due to the current work disruptions caused by the Covid-19 in the world, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) applies the following guidelines as of 16 March 2020: Article R31 of the Code of Sports-related Arbitration (the Code) is adapted in order to avoid the service of documents in hard copies (see text in bold, capital letters): Article R31 §3: The request for arbitration, the statement of appeal and any other written submissions, printed or saved on digital medium, must be filed by courier delivery to the CAS Court Office by the parties in as many copies as there are other parties and arbitrators, together with one additional copy for the CAS itself, failing which the CAS shall not proceed.
