It has been reported that Josh Kushner, who is 41 years old and whose brother, Jared, is the son-in- law of President Trump, is purchasing, together with Bob Iger, the former CEO of Disney, Los Angeles Lakers, which is one of the US most valuable sports franchises, for the sum of US$12.5 billion (around €10.8 billion).

If approved by the NBA Board of Governors, the purchase would set a record for the highest price ever paid for a professional sports team.

Kushner is a 5% owner of the Miami Heat, and, under NBA rules, he is required to sell his stake in this team.

His net worth is estimated to be US$5.2 billion (around €4.5 billion), and his father is the US ambassador to France and Monaco.
