Association football is the world’s most popular sport and also the most lucrative one.

The 2026 English Summer Transfer Window, which runs from 15 June to 1 September, is in full swing, and within a month, Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers have broken the record for being the most expensive English players of all-time.

Anderson moves from Nottingham Forest FC to Manchester City FC with a price tag of £116 million (around €135.8 million) and Rogers moves from Aston Villa FC to Chelsea FC with a price tag of £117 million (around €136.9 million).

Both players are midfielders, 23 years old and on top form.

In view of their age, they both not only have potential but are also ready-made English Premier League players.
