Hollie Davidson, who is 32 years old and Scottish, is set to make history, on 23 May 2025, when she referees the Challenge Cup final between Bath and Lyon at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
She will become the first woman referee to officiate at a major European Professional Club Rugby male event.
She is a former talented rugby player herself, whose career was cut short by a shoulder injury when she was 19 years old.
She is cool, confident and an excellent communicator and commands respect on the field of play.
As Davidson makes her debut on the international sporting stage, this is yet another example of women making their mark in sport!
