Tennis: Rafael Nadal to Retire

Rafael Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam Tennis Champion has announced that he will retire next month from the professional game, after playing in the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga.

Nadal, who is 38 years old, is the second-most successful men’s singles player of all time, after his long-time rival Novak Djokovic.

Nadal stated that:

The reality is that it has been some difficult years, the last two especially.”

And added that:

I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations.”

He will be missed from the professional tennis circuit, and we wish him well in the future!
