Despite the continuing Covid-19 Pandemic, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games are in full swing, and the organisers are taking all kinds of measures to contain the spread of the virus and to keep the athletes safe.
Apart from more conventional ones, such as testing and mask wearing, they are also employing unconventional ones, namely, the use of robots.
To limit the spread of the virus, through human contact, inside the Olympic bubble, robots are releasing disinfecting mist into the air; making and delivering food; preparing coffee and cleaning up afterwards; and even mixing what have been described as decent cocktails.
As they say: welcome to the future!
